This relatively scarce children's book was given away by the legendary department store Bamberger's (purchased by Macy's in 1929) at Christmas. The title page reads- "You Saw Them All in the Grand Toy Show This Christmas on the sixth floor of " One of America's Great Stores". This softcover volume, bound in pictorial stapled wrappers, has some shelf wear, significant soiling to the back cover and the cover is beginning to separate from the text block at the hinge. The text is unmarked (albeit slightly foxed and with minor soiling towards the rear), and features approximately 40 pages of text in illustrations in red and green. Patterson was a celebrated American cartoonist, illustrator and scenic designer. His art deco magazine illustrations helped promote the idea of the "flapper." 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
